I’m a massage therapist, business owner, and perpetual student. I’m constantly in search of ways to bring together mind, body, and spirit into a state of balance that makes one more comfortable in everyday life. I’m a big believer in taking the time to appreciate your surroundings, no matter where you are. I’ve learned to pay attention to the present, although it’s difficult and I’m not always good at it. Mindfulness, after all, is a practice.
I’m an herbalist, a craniosacral therapist, a reiki practitioner, and a supporter of the inherently self-healing nature of the human body. By that I don’t mean that western medicine has no place in the world; I simply mean that the body is built to be in balance. It wants to be in balance, and pain and disease are its methods of delivering the message that something is wrong and needs to be addressed. I believe that healing is a physical, spiritual, mental and emotional process, and that one should not attempt to separate these elements when seeking wellness.
I believe you should look at your food, look at your lifestyle, look at your emotional wellness and your overall satisfaction with the quality of your life and really be honest with yourself when you answer the question, “Are you happy?” I believe you should surround yourself every day with people who won’t judge you, no matter how you answer that question.
Above all, I believe you should be kind to yourself, every day. Love, respect, and nourish yourself, and let joy in.
